Boost Open Rates by Guiding Clients to Their Homeownership Report 💫

Following up with clients after you've sent their initial reports (and even months down the road) is an effective way to boost open rates to ensure that they see, open, and understand the value of the report.

💡 Pro Tip: By sending a personalized follow-up email from your own email address, you not only increase the chances of engagement but also create an additional touchpoint to provide value to your clients.


Here's how to view your engagement for your entire subscribed client list:

I recently sent you a personalized homeownership report through a new tool called Ownwell. Have you had the chance to open it yet?

This monthly report is packed with valuable insights - all for free!

  • Monthly updates of your home’s estimated value

  • Ways that you can save on your mortgage

  • Your buying power - if you’re looking to make a move

  • Your home equity -if you’re looking to do renovations

Why am I sending this? This report will help you stay informed about your largest investment - your home. It will help you stay informed and make smarter real estate and mortgage decisions - whether that’s now or down the road.

The report comes from [email protected], so if you’ve missed it, try searching your inbox for that address.

💡 Tip: For extra polish (totally optional), consider attaching a sample report or a loom video walking through a report to your follow-up emails. When brokers add that extra personal touch, they tend to see higher client engagement.

How to Follow Up:

Using Ownwell’s "Export" feature, you can easily identify clients who haven’t opened their digest:

  1. Click "Export" for a given month.

  2. You’ll receive a CSV file containing:

    • Clients who were sent the digest that month.

    • Their email addresses.

    • The status of the email (e.g., delivered, opened).

Once you have the list, use a mail merge tool or your CRM to send a follow-up email to clients who haven’t yet opened their Ownwell digest. You can use the template provided below to make this process quick and seamless.

You can also see the status of the email a specific client received by looking at the "Email History" section in the "Digest Preview" tab.

Monthly Reminders

⚡️ Success Tip: Keep Clients Engaged with Monthly Reminders

In addition to personal follow-ups, we encourage you to remind clients to watch for their Ownwell report each month. After the initial report is sent, clients will automatically receive a new report on a monthly basis.

A simple reminder can boost engagement. For example, you might say:
"Don't forget to check out your March Ownwell report - it’s coming out next week! I'd love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to email me with any comments or questions."

Consistent reminders help keep clients engaged by helping ensure they don't miss the Ownwell report while positioning you as their go-to advisor.
