Welcome to the Ownwell Homeownership Report! Below, you'll find an overview of each section in the report, including its purpose and how it helps your clients make informed decisions. Each section includes links to more detailed articles for deeper insights.
Note: For security, reports are accessed through magic links that expire after one week. If a client clicks an expired link, they’ll see an option to email themselves a new one.
Greeting
The Greeting section builds trust by reinforcing that the report is from you, the client's trusted mortgage professional. It keeps you top of mind and encourages clients to book a meeting with you:
Call-to-Action (CTA): Clicking the button opens your calendar link (if provided) or drafts an email to your address.
Personalization: Pulls information from your Business Profile to create a tailored message.
Summary Info: Displays key details about the client's home and mortgage.
Home Value
This section shows the current estimated value of the client’s home and how it has changed since they secured their mortgage, as well as their estimated home equity:
Historical Chart: A five-year history of estimated home prices. New estimates are added monthly to show trends.
Adjust Value: Clients can click "Adjust Value" if they have a more accurate or up-to-date valuation. When they make a change, you’ll be notified, and future updates will use their adjusted value as the new starting point. A wrench icon will appear to indicate that the estimate was manually adjusted.
Adjust Mortgage: Clients can click "Adjust Mortgage" to update the mortgage information used throughout the report. Once updated, future calculations and report insights will use the new mortgage details.
Questions & Engagement: At the bottom of the section, clients can send you a message directly from the report. This allows them to ask questions about their home value, equity, mortgage, or any other homeownership-related topic.
Interest Savings
This module helps clients understand if they could save interest by switching lenders or refinancing during their current mortgage term, factoring in prepayment penalties:
Savings Summary: Displays the estimated monthly payment reduction and total savings over the remaining mortgage term.
Comparison Chart: Compares the estimated cost of staying in the current mortgage versus switching to a new mortgage, including any costs to break the existing mortgage.
Questions & Engagement: Clients can use the message box at the bottom of the section to contact you directly if they would like to discuss the opportunity or learn more about their options.
Learn More: Clients can click "How we calculated this" to view more information about how the savings estimate was generated.
Purchasing Power
Designed to inspire clients to consider upgrading to a larger or better home:
Equity-Based Estimate: Uses the current home value minus the outstanding mortgage balance to estimate sale proceeds, which are applied as a down payment.
Affordability Calculation: Considers the income and credit score on file and current rates to estimate their purchasing power.
Questions & Engagement: Clients can use the message box at the bottom of the section to contact you directly if they'd like to discuss their options or learn more about the estimate.

Access Equity
Shows clients how much home equity they have and how much they can potentially unlock through refinancing:
Available Equity Estimate: Displays the estimated amount of equity the homeowner may be able to borrow against based on their current home value and mortgage balance.
Equity Breakdown: Shows how the home's estimated value is allocated between the current mortgage balance, costs to break the mortgage, unavailable equity, and available equity.
Questions & Engagement: Clients can use the message box at the bottom of the section to contact you directly if they'd like to discuss refinancing or accessing their home equity.

Your Mortgage
This module helps clients understand how their mortgage balance is changing over time and how their payments are being applied.
Mortgage Progress: Displays the number of payments made to date, changes in the mortgage balance, and an estimate of when the mortgage will be paid off based on the current payment schedule.
Principal & Interest Breakdown: Shows how mortgage payments are split between principal and interest over the life of the mortgage.
Balance Projection: Illustrates how the outstanding mortgage balance is expected to decrease over time.
Questions & Engagement: Clients can use the message box at the bottom of the section to contact you directly if they'd like to discuss their mortgage or repayment options.
Learn More: Clients can click "Learn more about your mortgage" to better understand mortgage fundamentals and repayment concepts.
Your Financial Summary
This section provides a snapshot of the key financial information used throughout the report.
Original Mortgage: Displays the original mortgage amount, mortgage type, interest rate, mortgage term, start date, and lender currently on file.
Remaining Balance: Shows the estimated remaining mortgage balance used in report calculations.
Household Income: Displays the household income currently on file, which may be used in affordability and purchasing power calculations.
Edit: Clients can click Edit to update any of these details if the information is no longer accurate. Changes made here will be reflected in future reports and calculations.
Referral Program
Available on Annual Plans: The Referral Program is included with annual Ownwell plans and helps you expand your reach through referrals from existing clients.
Share Link: Each homeowner receives a unique referral link that they can share with friends, family, and other homeowners interested in receiving their own personalized homeownership report.
Copy Link: Clients can click "Copy link" to quickly copy their referral link and share it through email, text message, or social media.
Referral Landing Page: Anyone who uses the referral link will be directed to a personalized landing page where they can request their own Ownwell report.
Contact Information: Your profile information is displayed alongside the referral section so referred homeowners know who to contact and where the report is coming from.
