Overview

If a client unsubscribes from Ownwell emails, they will no longer receive their monthly Homeownership Reports.

While brokers can't resubscribe clients directly from within Ownwell, the Ownwell team can restore a client's subscription upon request.

This article explains how to identify unsubscribed clients and how to request that they be resubscribed.

How to See Which Clients Have Unsubscribed

There are a few way to identify an unsubscribed client.

Flagged in your Issues list

When the client unsubscribes, they will show on your Issues tab. From here you can view and delete the client, if preferred.

Most brokers will first reach out to the client before deleting them, as it can sometimes be an unintentional action on the homeowners' part.

It's worth touching base to determine if the client is disengaging with you, the reports, or simply misclicked.

Filter your Clients list

You can also filter your database by their subscription status:

Selecting "Unsubscribed" will show you a list of all clients who have unsubscribed from your reports.

Here's a direct link to this filtered list: Unsubscribed Clients.

Exporting your monthly digest engagement report

If you want to view which clients subscribed in which month, you can do so by exporting your Digest report as a CSV.

  1. Open the Digest widget on your dashboard.

  2. Select the month you'd like to review.

  3. Click the Export CSV button.

Open the exported CSV in Excel or Google Sheets.

The spreadsheet includes a Status column showing the delivery status for each client.

Filter the Status column and select Unsubscribed to display only clients who opted out during the selected reporting period.

How to Resubscribe a Client

If a client unsubscribed by mistake or would like to receive their Homeownership Reports again, contact the Ownwell Support team via chat or at [email protected]

At this time, brokers cannot resubscribe clients themselves from within Ownwell.

When submitting your request, include:

  • The client's full name.

  • The client's email address.

The Ownwell team will review the request, restore the client's subscription, and let you know once it has been completed.
