Overview
Ownwell counts one client seat per funded mortgage deal, not per borrower.
This means a single mortgage file can include multiple borrowers while only using one client seat, allowing everyone on the mortgage to receive their own Homeownership Reports without increasing your seat usage.
How Client Capacity Works
Each funded mortgage in Ownwell uses one client seat.
A mortgage file can include up to three borrowers, and all borrowers attached to that mortgage receive their own Homeownership Reports. Regardless of whether the mortgage has one, two, or three borrowers, it still counts as a single client seat.
For example:
One funded mortgage with one borrower = 1 client seat
One funded mortgage with two borrowers = 1 client seat
One funded mortgage with three borrowers = 1 client seat
Co-Borrowers and Client Seats
Adding a co-borrower to an existing mortgage does not increase your client capacity usage.
As long as the borrowers are attached to the same funded mortgage, they are all included within the same client seat.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a husband and wife count as one client or two?
If they're attached to the same funded mortgage, they count as one client seat.
How many borrowers can be attached to one mortgage?
You can attach up to three borrowers to a single funded mortgage.
Do co-borrowers use additional client seats?
No. Co-borrowers attached to the same funded mortgage do not increase your client seat usage.
What counts against my subscription limit?
Your subscription capacity is based on the number of funded mortgage deals in your Ownwell account, not the number of borrowers.
What about second homes or rental properties?
1 seat is one property (typically with one mortgage) in Ownwell. Clients' other properties will take up their own seat and receive their own unique homeownership report.
Why did my client count increase?
Your client count increases when a new funded mortgage deal is added to your account. Adding additional borrowers to an existing mortgage does not increase your seat usage.
