Overview
The Digest Activity feed gives you a complete history of how your clients interact with their monthly Ownwell Digest.
Located on the right side of the Digest Preview tab, it organizes each monthly digest into an easy-to-read timeline, showing when the digest was sent, whether it was viewed, and any actions the client took within the report.
Reviewing the Digest Activity feed helps you understand your clients' engagement, identify buying signals, and see exactly how they're interacting with their homeownership reports.
Where to find the Digest Activity feed
Open a client record.
Click the Digest Preview tab.
Scroll to the Digest Activity section on the right side of the page.
Understanding the Digest Activity Feed
The Digest Activity feed is organised in reverse chronological order, with the most recent digest displayed first.
Each monthly digest is grouped into its own activity card, making it easy to review engagement over time.
Each activity card displays:
The month the digest was sent.
The borrower who received the digest.
The digest's engagement status.
A timeline of all activity for that digest.
Engagement status
Each digest displays its current engagement status.
Viewed Digest
The client successfully opened and viewed their personalized Ownwell Digest.
This is the highest level of engagement and indicates the client accessed their report.
Opened Email
The client opened the email but did not open the Digest itself.
Not Opened
The client has not opened the email or viewed the Digest.
Activity timeline
Each digest includes a chronological timeline showing the client's interactions after receiving their report.
Depending on the client's activity, you may see events such as:
Sent digest — The monthly report was sent.
Opened digest — The client opened their report.
Mortgage updates — The client updated information such as their outstanding mortgage balance or mortgage details.
Questions asked — Questions submitted directly from sections of the Digest, such as Home Value, Interest Savings, Purchasing Power, or Available Equity.
This timeline gives you visibility into what your client is engaging with and what topics may present opportunities for follow-up.
Digest resend requests
You may occasionally see a Resend label beside a digest.
Digest links expire after 7 days for security purposes. If a client attempts to access an older digest, they'll be prompted to request a new email containing a fresh secure link.
When this happens, the resend request appears in the activity timeline before any additional activity continues.
This is expected behavior and does not indicate an issue with the original email delivery.
Multiple borrowers
If a client record includes multiple borrowers with different email addresses, each borrower receives their own monthly digest.
The Digest Activity feed displays a separate activity card for each borrower, allowing you to see each borrower's engagement independently.
For example, one borrower may simply view their digest, while another borrower may ask questions or update mortgage information. Each borrower's activity is recorded in their own timeline, making it easy to identify who performed each action.
If multiple borrowers share the same email address, Ownwell sends a single digest email, so only one activity timeline is displayed.

Each borrower's engagement is tracked independently.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I see multiple activity cards for the same month?
If a client has multiple borrowers with different email addresses, each borrower receives their own monthly digest. The Digest Activity feed displays a separate activity card for each borrower so you can see their individual interactions.
Why does one borrower have more activity than another?
Each borrower's activity is tracked independently. One borrower may simply view their digest, while another may ask questions, update mortgage information, or interact with different sections of the report.
What does the "Viewed Digest" status mean?
It means the client successfully opened and viewed their personalized Ownwell Digest.
Why do I see a "Resend" label?
Digest links expire after 7 days for security purposes. If a client accesses an older digest, they'll be prompted to request a new email with a fresh access link. The Resend label indicates a new digest email was sent.
Can I see what questions my client asked?
Yes. If a client submits a question from their Digest, it appears in the activity timeline along with the section it was asked from, such as Home Value Estimate or Interest Savings.
Why do I only see one activity card when my client has two borrowers?
If both borrowers share the same email address, Ownwell sends a single digest email. In this case, only one activity timeline is displayed.
